ReiKi
ReiKi ('ray-kee') means 'Universal Energy' in Japanese. It is an ancient healing art rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the mid-1900's.
ReiKi provides relief from pain, stress, and emotional issues. ReiKi, Universal Energy, enhances all levels of healing and deepens your experience of who you are, therefore it is appropriate for all situations. Situations such as imbalances in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual realms. It can also be used to guide the recipient closer toward his or her spiritual fulfillment, making it beneficial at any time in a person's life.
When using the ReiKi method of healing, the practitioner channels Universal Energy through the hands. The needs of the recipient determines the energy received and let go of, at that moment in time, both consciously and subconsciously.
The ReiKi itself finds places where energy is blocked, or still, and invites movement, release.
One of the greatest aspects of ReiKi is that practitioners can use it on themselves to promote healing at all levels. ReiKi is not a religion although it is compatible with all religious faiths.

ReiKi Sessions
Canela practices ReiKi using a ‘hands-on’ method. The recipient, or client, is fully clothed (comfortable loose fitting clothes are best) and then covered lightly or snugly depending on the season. The experience of ReiKi varies from person to person, yet most experience it as an ‘inner massage’ and one that brings a strong sense of peace throughout the client. Often this peace and relaxation is felt for many days following a session.

ReiKi Classes
ReiKi classes, all levels, open each participant to more of themselves; their healing abilities and intuitive powers. Wherever a person might be, they will simply open to yet more of themselves. This brings an expansion of gentle peacefulness to most participant’s lives.
I. ReiKi Level One
Five three hour classes, usually over a five week period. These classes are flexible around the needs of the participants. Each participant will receive four Level One initiations and be taught the hand positions for treating others and oneself.
The classes are structured in this way to invite the participant the maximum of practice within the classes, and to also support an integration of using ReiKi within their lifestyle.

II. ReiKi Level Two
One day long class of seven hours.
Each participant will receive two Level Two initiations. Also the ReiKi Level Two Symbols, and how to use them, is taught and practiced.

III. ReiKi Master Level
This level can be separated into two parts or taught together over one weekend;
Part I
One day long class of seven hours.
Each participant will receive the initiation of a Master and relative teachings.
