Identification

It feels appropriate for this next Satsang Invitation to be on ‘Identification’ since it appears to be the instigator of so many happenings in the world that are not very harmonious.

Identification does serve a purpose. For instance, when we go to the fridge and find a carrot (if that is what we are looking for) identification is happening. Or a friend can be identified that we see walking across the other side of the street. Identification is a handy part of what the mind can do without us having to ‘think’ about it – it just happens.

Identification Outside

Where identification gets in the way is when the identification becomes fixed in a way that supports the illusion of separation (speaking specifically in regards to people now).  That someone is: brown skinned, white skinned, gay, bi-sexual, muslim, catholic, jewish, bhai, woman, man, child, popular, unpopular, rich, poor – whatever identifying feature that is used to say ‘us’ vs ‘them’. If it is just there to help identify each other (or ourselves) in recognition of what is simply true and then it disappears, then it does not matter, it is what identification is for.

Identification Inside

However, when it is held inside, when it is kept as a dividing line – this is where it is not a support to yourself or humanity. This is where Love invites you to open to receiving a gift from and to yourSelf, and then therefore all of humanity.

Since we are human, we have biases and aversions to each other, this is normal and natural. I am not suggesting that there is some sort of ‘ideal’ to uphold as if one is not prejeduced against anyone else, I am suggesting to look to see where do you separate from other human beings? Where do you, personally, see an ‘us’ and ‘them’? Sometimes it is identification of yourself – where you hold yourself away because you have identified yourself as ‘not good enough’ or ‘less than others’ in some way (or ‘better than others’ can also support a felt sense of separation).

Once you have found answers to these questions, in being totally honest with yourself, to then remember the Truth that we are all a representation of divinity, we are all from the same Source and we are not separate – that it is actually impossible.

In remembering this truth then, explore where inside of you (of what appears here as a body) does the energetic of ‘separation’ show up? Where is energy found, in some way, as you look at this specifically? Then I invite you to allow awareness to ‘be with’ this energy, breathe and receive the felt sense of the energy in the moment.

It doesnt matter how big or small the energy is. This is not to say to yourself – oh this is small so therefore I am ‘good’ or ‘spiritual’…. this invitation is not about identifying yourself in any way at all. It IS about being with the truth of what you find, and then following through with exploring that by feeling into whatever shows up. Not attempting to change it or love it or any kind of ‘doing’…just feel what is already with you, exactly as it is, as it reveals itself.

Supporting a Shift

By exploring the world within and meeting the energies, you support (directly) more harmony in the world. This world where people are being shot because of their choice in who they feel drawn to love or share themselves sexually with. This world where people are being blown up so a group can identify themselves more strongly, using terror as ‘power’.

What this Satsang Invitation is inviting is where you can make a difference in all of that. In consciously being with where you separate from others, then feeling that energy of separation within, dissipates the energies in the play of What Is.In this way you can help to change this world which we share. And, there is a wonderful side effect of you yourself feeling less separate from humanity.

You are invited!
with love,
Canela
