Coming Home to YourSelf

Coming Home.  
As I write now, a nice settled feeling falls through this system….just typing that.  

What does this mean: Coming Home?  It does not mean a lot to the mind, however the mind knows when it is happening – Being Home – and we can use the mind to invite ourselves to come home to exactly where we are right here, right now.

I invite you to settle into the chair you are sitting in. To ‘fall in’ with Being aware of what appears right here as a body.  There is no need to focus…awareness is already here with your body.  What I am inviting you to is to fall in with that aspect of what is happening right now, the awareness of however you feel this body right now.

How to make use of the mind?  
Well, you likely know if you have been focussing on whatever happened before, or on whatever you imagine might be about to happen next, or next week, or next year or whatever appears as a future.  Your heart, your caring, is what instigates whatever you have been musing with… it might use details about people that you know and love:  ‘What is going to happen to _____ ?’ etc.

All of that is fine, it is simply what is happening.  It is not ‘wrong’.  What I am inviting you to is to notice what all is being looked at, where the mind has been going. Just notice this.  Then also notice what the centre, or the inside (because there isn’t really a centre, more like the inner space) of what appears here as a ‘you’ feels like. To feel what appears as a body or form, and let yourself float with whatever Awareness (your awareness) is aware of in the inner area of what appears here as a you.  You may feel absolutely nothing happening there/here.  The point is to just be with awareness right where you are….here, right here, exactly and simply as you are right now.

                   

Give yourself some moments here…give yourself some space to settle in with this experiencing of yourself inwardly.  

Then, call yourself home to this space.  
Call your energy home by inviting your energy home, inviting your attention home here – where ever your attention has been (past or future or situation) – call your attention home here to the space in the centre of what appears here as ‘you’.

There is no push, no pull, no work…only the invitation, and relaxing yourself open so that the energy that is ‘yours’ can come home.  Relaxing open and inviting is all…then feeling what happens….while you breathe, relaxing the eyes, no need to ‘look’, relaxing and relaxing all of yourself – the breathing long, slow, and deep can support this.  No ‘working’ at breathing, just breathing and being aware of breathing happening.  
Give yourself space to be with you…not really giving yourself attention – no need to apply anything at all – just being aware of whatever you feel right where you are now.
